At Climate Control Indoor Storage we want you to check out our facility. We stress customer service and do our best to be flexible to meet your needs. We know that one satisfied customer sends us another. We have a full time maintenance person who keeps the facility clean & in good condition. He also assists customers with advice and acts as security during business hours to keep you and your possessions safe.

During the winter we keep the entire building (even the indoor loading garage) heated. In the summer we dehumidify and air-condition to keep our customers and their stored property comfy.

Security is the goal of your storage experience.

At Climate Control Indoor Storage we do things a little differently. We are open 65 hours a week. We have helpful, friendly staff on duty during all these hours. You are safe and the building is active. When we close, we are locked down; no one is admitted. We feel this is better than allowing access 24 hours a day when security can be breached.

We will hold an extra key for you if you wish, but it is best if you are the only holder of your lock key.

Getting in and out of your storage unit should be safe and convenient.

All access to the units at Climate Control Indoor Storage is from within the building. We ask that you sign in at the front desk; that way we know who is in the building at any time.

You can then access your unit through any exterior door or the indoor loading garage, all of which have security cameras for active surveillance. All entrances are in open, well lighted areas & you can back right up to the doorways.

Inside, we have 3'x5', four wheel, hand carts to move items to and from your unit. A hydraulic pallet mover is available for large truck deliveries to the indoor loading dock. All units are on the ground floor.

Discuss how much space you need.

Our customer service representatives will help you judge how large a space you need. We can accommodate your needs by agreeing to give you a larger or smaller unit should your needs change.

If you are having your things moved by a moving company, they will be able to tell you the cubic volume of your load.

You will need to decide if you want aisle-ways within your unit to allow better access to your belongings during the storage period. Generally, although situations vary, you may need about 60 square feet of storage for each room in your home. This figure does not include any aisles and assumes you will stack your things 8' high.

Read the contract.

At Climate Control Indoor Storage, we do not require a deposit. We pro rate the first month and collect the next full month at the beginning of your lease. After that, it is simply month to month with payment due on the 1st of each month. A 5% discount is offered if you pay 6 months in advance. A 10% discount is offered if you pay 12 months in advance. We accept personal checks, credit cards or cash.

Check the range of services available.

At Climate Control Indoor Storage, we include the free use of our covered, 6' x 12', cargo trailer for use within Washtenaw County to help you move in. Because of insurance problems it may not leave the county, nor be used to move out, nor be kept over night. Our safe is available too.

We are very customer-oriented and will assist you at no cost in any way we can. If you require more help than we can provide, we can arrange assistance for you. Some assistance may come from our staff and equipment on an hourly basis, other assistance may be from outside sources.

Look for climate controls which will serve your needs.

At many other facilities storage is outside. This may work for you if humidity and freezing temperatures are of no concern. At some of those outside facilities, your safety could be an issue.

Climate controlled storage space is ideal for items having value and for owners who enjoy the comfort of indoor, temperature controlled storage space. At Climate Control Indoor Storage, all of our units are indoors out of the elements. We have 29 furnaces and air conditioners in the building as well as a huge dehumidifier. Our loading/unloading dock is indoors too. Our garage will accommodate the largest tractor trailer or the smallest car.
